What You Need Before Class
You supplies list will depend on which Bible journaling method you prefer.
BIBLE JOURNALING IN A BIBLE
If you want to Bible journal in a Bible you will need:
- A Journaling Bible
- A printer
- Copy or sticker paper
- Marking supplies of your choice: Pens, Markers, Highlighters, paint, etc.
- Adhering material of your choice: tape, washi tape, glue runner, etc.
Note: I will not teach you how to use the paints and markers in this class. I will teach you layout and design. I have links in the lessons that will take you to free videos--most by Rebekah Jones--to teach you specific techniques. For example. If I show how to make a background on the computer with digital watercolor I will have a link where Rebekah shows you how to cover a paper Bible page with watercolor.
BIBLE JOURNALING IN A TRAVELERS NOTEBOOK
If you want to Bible journal in a Travelers Notebook you will need:
- A Bible
- Travelers Notebook Inserts (or make your own--see video below)
- A printer
- Copy or sticker paper
- Marking supplies of your choice: Pens, Markers, Highlighters, paint, etc.
- Adhering material of your choice: tape, washi tape, glue runner, etc.
- We will make a lot of pockets and tags so you might want ribbons, lace, twine for trims.
BIBLE JOURNALING ON A COMPTER DIGITALLY
If you want to Bible journal in a Travelers Notebook you will need:
- A Bible
- Imagine Software. I recommend PhotoShop Elements (no on sale)
- Travelers Notebook Inserts (or make your own)
- A printer
- Copy or sticker paper
- Marking supplies of your choice: Pens, Markers, Highlighters, paint, etc.
- Adhering material of your choice: tape, washi tape, glue runner, etc.
Note: You can watch me Bible Journal digitally as I explain however I will not explain basics like the names of the tool in the tool bars and how to move elements or save file. You need a working knowledge of PSE to learn fro what I will be doing in Photoshop (very similar programs) If you want to learn the basic you should take this class.
